All Aboard! Train travel has always been on our travel bucket list.   The idea of taking our kids on a train adventure through the Rocky Mountains is a dream.  One day we will do this.  And with great deals that VIA Rail offers for kids travelling, it’s easier than ever!

Travel Deals for Families on VIA Rail 

VIA Rail seems to always have really great deals for travelling on their lines with kids.  One summer they offered $15 travel for kids aged 2 to 11, anywhere in Canada in Economy class. And more recently they are offering Kids Fares at 1/2 the price of adult fares for kids 2-11, and free for kids under 2.

Special Fun for Kids on VIA Rail!

All passengers between the ages of 2 and 11 will receive a CHOO CHOO CLUB bag on board the train. Filled with an activity book with games.  They will also have access to outlets and free Wi-Fi, special place for four to have fun together, as well as room to stretch their legs!

Amenities on Board:

On board VIA Rail you are able to purchase light and healthy meals and snacks, as well as access to full bar service and refreshments.  And if you’ve got little kids, you will also have access to microwaves to heat baby bottles and baby food!  Plus a refrigerator to store snacks. So awesome.

This would be a cool way to see some of the mountain scenery, at a fraction of the price.
