Keep the kids entertained in the car with this Summer Road Trip Eye Spy Checklist for the Kids!
It’s that time of year again…summer holidays are right around the corner, and we couldn’t be more ready for the break! Yay for summer!
Each summer we do a fair amount of driving as most of our family lives hours away from us. We also like to adventure and discover new places so that means quite a lot of road tripping! And as you probably already are quite aware, road trips can be a bit tiresome with little ones. Especially if you don’t have any in-car entertainment.
One of the things I have done with our kids is to get them to play a game of eye spy out the window…looking for different things as we drive along…things like special license plates, animals, signs, that sort of thing. But it’s never much fun for very long, and truth be told, I don’t really want to play eye spy. When I’m in the car I just want to read a book, look out the window or actually have a conversation with my husband! 😉
So I was thinking of ways to have the kids keep themselves entertained, and thought the best way to do that would be to make a checklist so they can play their own game of Eye Spy. They can either play on their own or with their sibling(s)/friend/any willing participant! And this list can be used over the course of the summer, or for each trip! Simple and fun…and encourages individual play. Love it.
If you would like to use it for your next road trip, just drag it on to your desktop and print! Happy Road Tripping!
