Stay: HI Jasper hostel
The new HI Jasper hostel on Sleepy Hollow Road has re-opened! Jasper’s newest hostel has been relocated to a brand new building just a short walk from downtown Jasper.
Disclosure: This post is in collaboration with, and we have been compensated by, Tourism Jasper but all words and opinions are our own! We think Jasper is a wonderful place to travel to and are happy to share all the wonderful things about it!
When we travel with our kids we have a few things that we really like to have available: we like the option to be able to prepare our own meals, especially breakfast and lunch, we love the option of on-site laundry services, and most importantly we need a safe and private place to sleep. It also really helps if the place we choose is budget friendly. Hostels are a fantastic option that provide all of these things. They’re also a great way to meet new people and travellers.
A Perfect Home Base
If you’re looking for a comfortable and budget friendly place to stay with your family in Jasper, Alberta, the new HI Jasper is the perfect home base. With private family rooms, private ensuites and beautiful communal spaces, this is a great accommodation for all travellers! Whether you’re hiking/biking/snowshoeing in Jasper National Park, or skiing at Marmot Basin, this hostel has everything you need.
Great option for Family Ski Trips
Located only a short 20KM drive from Marmot Basin, HI Jasper is a great option for family ski trips! For your convenience the hostel has lockers and storage for all of your ski equipment. But we especially love that there’s a kitchen space to make our own breakfast and lunch…and if we don’t feel like cooking, we can just buy something at the on-site Sleepy Hollow Cafe to take with us to the hill.
HI Jasper Hostel Room Options:
Depending on what you’re looking for, chances are this hostel has an option for everyone. Whether you’re staying with your kids, or you’re traveling alone or as a couple, there’s a room for everyone!
Family Room Ensuite:
The private family rooms are a great option when you’re traveling with kids! These rooms sleep 5 and come with a double bed with a single bunk above, as well as an additional bunk bed and an ensuite bathroom. All linens and towels are provided too! I especially love that we have our own bathroom.
Premium Private Room Ensuite:
The Premium Private Ensuite is a nice option if you’re looking for a little privacy. These rooms come with a queen bed, ensuite bathroom, linens, towels, a TV, and amazing mountain views!
Shared Rooms:
Please NOTE: All shared dorm rooms are now being offered as private rooms for the time being (due to the pandemic). Groups travelling together can use the total number of beds in the room.
